MyNameIsRedundant Belfast is a deep, dark cave that you stand to extract diamonds from, should you put the effort in to dig them out.
This is one such diamond.
The dreary, industrial, doom and gloom atmosphere paints a very particular vision of the world, one that you can sink in to and chew on, listen upon listen. The nihilistic soundscape of this record regularly swirls around in the back of my head, even when I'm not actively spinning it. Favorite track: Tiering Demise.
Matten
Matten thumbnail
Matten It seems I found a hidden gem while just browsing dissonant death metal releases. Industrial Dissodeath is not something I knew I would like so much, but here we are.
In addition to the hard-hitting instrumentality that you'd expect from a genre name like that, there's also great atmospheric moments. Favorite track: Flesh Beyond.

1.
Pour my ashes into landfill. The time has come. Erase all trace of being. Do not offer forgiveness, Lest your path becomes mine. I will devour you, As you rebirth. Renege your ethos, Become your best. Hate is the law. You shall incubate my empire, Through cabals of sheep. You shall execute my scripture; Mirrored proxies now revered. Grip on power starts weak, Tightening 'till death. Your worth now realised, Your vows complete. Hate is the law. Join an infinite climb, Cut your hands on a prospect. Gradients of human value; Your voice forever ignored.
2.
I deferred expiring, So that I could lie, To my waning flesh, That success is king. Let’s crawl forever, In pursuit of growth, For there is always, Work to be done. An addendum to pain. Crafting heavens that I’ve yearned, My sacrifices unreturned. The blessed entered, the scum remain, I know I’m another one of them. An addendum to pain. Pyres of bodies, Light the stairs, As I find my way. Pyres of bodies, Light the stairs. I will find my way.
3.
Crushed accursors line my path. I will dominate. They will breathe the gift of life, just to see it fade. Through this pain will come joy. I am absolved. I will rise enthroned. These ashes we praise, Through endured disdain. A self exactment; Cathartic pogrom. Soon this will repeat. Soon you will be next.
4.
Scratch out the accursor. Accelerate judgement day as communal bile returns us to ash. Herald a new dawn of illusory wealth. Wash away our residue as barren estuaries char.
5.
Flesh Beyond 02:56
Lost in abrasive thought, Lives unlearned, feelings bought. I find solace in the void, Safely veiled and destroyed. Voices reach out to me, I hear them, wild and free. They speak in tongues of trauma, endless streams of plasma: “We will meet again” Gaunt, I yearn to become, Flesh beyond. Enchanted lands beyond compare, Elation glides cleansing blades. There is no hope left in this world, I will end what they began. Time to depart this cerebral slum.
6.
To embrace the warmth of death, Is to grasp freedom's hand. A release into eternity, Escaping towards peace. The transient lapsing of ease, That births from a flame, Shall serve as a cry, From anguish to come. Release me... As senses fade to naught, You lead the mortal choir. Through crowds of confusion, New clarity shall reign.
7.
Dichotomies of 'collapse to upgrade'? Hollowed vessels remain unafraid. Welcome your new messiah, Select the way you die. As painful questions rise, Your time shall cease. Arrays of poisons greet their new host. Wrapped and branded in deathly boast. Welcome your new messiah, Select the way you die. As painful questions rise, You’re merely tiering demise. Choose your weapon. Face extinction.
8.
Acceptance of demise unlocks new hope. My inspiration becomes my own decay. Through pain I learn to communicate again as my body yearns to deform. A mass of trauma floods my nerves with light, as I erode towards the freedom I've claimed. Through anguish I now learn to celebrate one last time, as my body delights in release. My path is final. My vision is clear. I am prepared.
9.
To cross the apex of total abandon: Is this the path that we must seek? I witness the sacrifice of countless corpses, As my fleeting body discards the will to thrive. I descend into nothing. I descend into nothing but fear. When our time comes, what will be left but a shell, grinded by perpetual wheels?
10.
Herald our chorus of mass vagrancy, Joined at behest of death's infancy. Summon god into our hall, Let it bring demise for all. Let it heed our battle cry, For this world's final sigh. Callously, we end. Wading through endless grief, Thousands die in belief. Twisted knives shall now improve, All of those once removed. Callously, we end. We have burned and toiled, To reach our righteous crowns, Atop a crimson throne, Of endless punishment. Hosanna! None shall stand in our way, As we declare judgement day. Callously, we end.
